El Diablo y La Luna

Staying at El Diablo y la Luna was honestly such a gift. The space is stunning — every detail feels intentional and full of care. Everything has a beautiful flow that makes you want to slow down and stay a while. The atmosphere is pure Oaxaca: creative and full of life. You can feel the love that went into every corner — the mix of local materials, the textures, the colors, and the design choices that make it feel special. The hosts are incredible — warm, attentive, and They make you feel completely at home while also giving you space to breathe and explore. It’s rare to find a place that captures so much soul and still feels so easygoing. El Diablo y la Luna does that perfectly. I can’t recommend it enough !

Fantastic place for a stay in Oaxaca city. Very beautiful and comfortable Mexican style rooms. María and her team are top notch in service. This and it's sister B'nB El Diablo y la Sandía are definitely the best option for enjoying Oaxaca.

This place was the nicest part of our trip through Oaxaca. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious! Having the available kitchen and small pool to dip in really gave it’s a cosy ‘make yourself at home’ feeling Thanks again!

Stylish boutique hotel, on a leafy, low-traffic and relaxed neighbourhood - a short walk from the centre of Oaxaca. A lot of attention of detail has gone into the design of the hotel. We have been greeted every morning with a delicious home cooked Oaxacan breakfast on the veranda, which overlooks the gorgeous Sierra Madre with a view into the bustling town. We’ve experienced some wonderful days here, the staff and Maria, the owner, are friendly and attentive. Would 100% recommend. A fantastic hotel for a wedding party or a getaway for a couple to have as their base while they explore the bustling and colourful Oaxaca.

Gorgeous hotel, with a spectacular view over Oaxaca. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, which felt like a home away from home, beautifully decorated! Peaceful, safe area, great location, 15 minute walk into the centre (lots of steps). Staff were very helpful and attentive, and complimentary breakfast was delicious. Can’t wait to return!

I absolutely loved staying here. The rooms are beautiful, full of authentic Mexican style, and felt both cozy and thoughtfully designed. Everything was very clean, and you can feel the care that goes into the space. The support staff were incredibly kind and helpful, creating a welcoming, community feel. The shared kitchen was a wonderful bonus — well-kept and perfect for connecting with others. This place truly felt special, and I can’t wait to return.

El Diablo y La Luna is absolutely beautiful. The traditional aesthetic, thoughtful design and serene atmosphere make it such a peaceful place to stay. The views and outdoor pool are stunning, and the breakfast—served at the most beautiful outdoor table was the best that we ate in Oaxaca The location was wonderful as well. Perched above the city where it’s quiet and tranquil, but an easy walking distance to the center of town. We couldn’t be more pleased. Juan Carlos and María and the rest of the staff were so incredibly lovely and kind, They all went above and beyond to make our trip easier. A tranquil, gorgeous oasis. Highly recommend.

Amazing! Every detail was intentional, I felt the utmost in quality standards and care but also in luxury, a perfect balance. Staying at El Diablo y La Luna was revitalizing and healing in ways I didn't expect. I highly recommend and can't wait to make a return trip.
